GENERAL PURPOSE MOTORS:

A large variety of motors are available in the M50 and the 100S frame size. They are used for a variety of applications like: -

Air Conditioning Units, Farm Equipment, Buffing and Polishing Machines, Winding Machines, Industrial fans, Elevator door operation, Surgical pump,
Diamond polishing, Electrical sewing machine operation and a gamut of other applications.

Electrical performance

Single phase motors are either split phase start induction run, capacitor start and run, capacitor start capacitor run or capacitor start induction run. These are suitable for 230V 50 Hz single phase ac supply and conform to BS 2048 part I and BS 5000 part II.

They are rated for continuous duty and have class B insulation till 40?C ambient. Motors are available in outputs from 1/ 4 HP to 3HP and may be 2,4 (most common), 6 or 8 poled.
